From "Bad Taste" to "Heavenly Creatures, I have gaped in awe at the NZ director's work. I had high expectations for FOTR, as Tolkien is my favorite author. I had a tinge of fear that this would be made into a 'kids' movie. To my surprise, it is a film that both my six year old and I loved.
Tolkien created the mythos, yet Jackson has given us the most exciting and at times, touching visuals to tell the story.
I'm usually the naysayer, the scoffer of "Titanic. Jurassic Park, and even "The Phantom Menace." But I can't even pretend to not love this film. There are so many positive reviews, and I can see why. So, yes, I must jump on the bandwagon. But rightfully so.
