CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Old Glory Distilling Co. will host its inaugural Craftsmen’s Fair at the newly opened Silo Park, celebrating Tennessee's rich heritage of craftsmanship. The event will feature over 30 artisan vendors, showcasing various skills from woodworking to culinary arts and live music, food, and craft beverages.

Old Glory Distilling Co., renowned for its contributions to the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, has incorporated its philosophy of craftsmanship into the event. "Craftsmanship is a cornerstone of our identity," said Matt Cunningham, owner of Old Glory Distilling. "The Silo Park was designed specifically with this type of community event in mind, aiming to bring together local artisans to display their skills and crafts."

The family-friendly fair will commence at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m., with live music starting at noon. The Silo Bar will serve up Oak Smoked Tacos alongside craft cocktails and draft beers, underlining Old Glory’s commitment to locally inspired and expertly crafted products. Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible celebration of local talent and community spirit.

Old Glory Distilling Co. opened in 2016 and has quickly become a prominent feature on the Tennessee whiskey scene, producing over 3,500 barrels of Tennessee Bourbon annually. The distillery prides itself on its grain-to-glass process, ensuring that every step meets its stringent quality standards, from milling the grain to aging in barrels.

The Craftsmen’s Fair not only highlights the distillery's dedication to quality and community involvement but also contributes to Clarksville's cultural richness. Events like these support local economies and provide a platform for artisans to gain visibility in a convivial atmosphere.

According to the American Craft Spirits Association, craft distilleries contribute significantly to local and state economies through direct sales, attracting tourism, and fostering community events such as the Craftsmen’s Fair. This trend is reflected in the growing number of craft distilleries in Tennessee and the United States, which offer a venue for cultural expression and economic activity.

As Old Glory Distilling Co. continues to blend traditional distilling methods with innovative community engagement, its Craftsmen’s Fair is poised to become a staple event for Clarksville residents and visitors, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of craftsmanship in the heart of Tennessee.
