Authorities have announced the arrest of a four-person robbery crew responsible for a string of strong-arm robberies targeting 7-Eleven stores across Los Angeles County, resulting in the theft of over $90,000 worth of California Lottery Scratchers.
Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau uncovered that the crew orchestrated a total of 44 strong-arm robberies within a span of two months, amounting to retail losses estimated at $250,000.
The arrests were made following a surveillance operation by detectives who observed the suspects in the act of robbing one of the 7-Eleven stores. During this incident, the suspects forcibly stole over $3,000 worth of California Lottery Scratchers.
Upon apprehension, all four suspects – three adults and one juvenile – were swiftly taken into custody, and the stolen lottery scratchers were successfully recovered.
The identities of the adult suspects have not been disclosed by authorities. They were booked on robbery charges at the Century Regional Detention Facility, where each is being held on a $100,000 bail. The juvenile suspect was booked at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall also on robbery charges.
