While the weather is far from perfect, the Big Apple is seeing some of its cherry blossoms entering the blooming season. I guess spring is here despite all the rain that's been happening recently. It is believed that around 10% of all the cherry blossoms in the city have started blooming.
If you'd like to know the best spots to witness this magical moment, NYCGovParks.org made a list of the parks where the cherry blossoms are easily observable:
- Sakura Park, Manhattan
- Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens
- Silver Lake Park, Staten Island
- Randall's Island Park
- Rainey Park, Queens
- Central Park, Manhattan
- Pelham Bay Park, Bronx
- Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn
- Hunter's Point South Park, Queens
- Riverside Park, Manhattan
You can check out the link to the municipal website above, which shows the addresses and descriptions of the parks. Enjoy the cherry blossoms!
