The Princess of Wales speaking of her cancer diagnosis and fight in a touching videoPhoto byThe Royal Family Instagram account/stories of 22.03.2024

The Princess of Wales, 42, just shared on social media a touching, yet sad video of herself speaking to the audience, addressing her fans and all the people around the world who love her and are, were, seriously concerned about her health and well-being in the past months. (source: bbc.com)

It is the first time, after her mysterious abdominal surgery back in January, that the Princess addresses the crowds of fans, openly speaking about her health issues and why she and Prince William had decided to keep it a secret for such a long time. It was not their intention to not keep everyone updated. It was only for their children's sake. (source: her video, dailymail.co.uk)

In a brave speech that almost brings tears to our eyes, dear Kate shares the fact that immediately after her abdominal surgery, they thought it was not cancer; after further analysis, doctors found that cancer was there. (source: thesun.co.uk)

Therefore, the Princess' medical team advised a chemotherapy treatment, which she is starting right now. (source: thesun.co.uk)

Below, you can find the entire speech of the beloved Princess of Wales, just as she pronounced it a few hours ago.

It's good that we finally know what's going on with her, but we certainly wish and hope the diagnosis isn't so bad after all, and that, being in an early stage of the disease, she will manage to win over and completely recover.

Catherine revealed the news had come as a 'huge shock' and that she and William 'have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family'. (source: dailymail.co.uk)

It came days after she was seen smiling with Prince William as they left their favorite farm shop close to their Windsor home, and she said her husband had been 'a great source of comfort and reassurance' during her cancer fight. (source: dailymail.co.uk)

"In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.

The surgery was successful however tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I'm now in the early stages of that treatment.

This of course came as a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately, for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery to start my treatment. But most importantly it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that's appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I'm going to be ok.

As I've said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on things that will help me heal in my mind, body, and spirit.

Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support, and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.

We hope that you'll understand that as a family we now need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment." (source: thesun.co.uk video shared on 22.03.2024)

We are convinced that more than ever the Royal Family will receive lots of support, especially as King Charles too is under cancer treatment. Let's hope they will soon recover and carry on with their life and duties.
