Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis said, "Hamas needs to be no more" after the Palestinian group attacked Israel.

"You have to uproot the terrorist infrastructure, these networks, and Hamas needs to be no more," DeSantis said.

The Florida governor said that Israel has a right to self-defense and that the footage and images that have surfaced in the days since the initial invasion by Hamas terrorists are "absolutely disgusting."

He expressed worry that what frequently occurs in circumstances like this is that after saying that Israel has a right to protect itself and retaliate, "two weeks later, people start to blame Israel," he remarked.

"There's no moral equivalence between Hamas terror and an Israeli civilian," the Florida governor said.

Just one day after the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, in which Israel was invaded by several of its neighbors, Hamas, which has occupied Gaza for more than 15 years, it has launched its onslaught on Israel.

The fighters have stormed communities, fired rockets into various sections of Israel, killed residents, and imprisoned soldiers and civilians.

The United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom have classified Hamas as a terrorist group.

Israel claims to have retaken Hamas's territory, and the Israeli government has responded by attacking Gaza.

Both Israel and Gaza have experienced hundreds of fatalities.

Israel has declared war on Hamas, and the attack has led to rumors that Israel may invade Gaza completely in retaliation.

DeSantis described the invasion by Hamas as a "clearly orchestrated attack."

He claimed there had been a "movement" against Israel "dealing with Hamas once and for all" because the nation would face international condemnation.

DeSantis thought certain Israeli officials may have refrained because of a realistic, political consideration.

What do you think about Ron DeSantis's stance on Hamas and the Israel-Gaza conflict?
