Google Forms has two main focuses where you can see the icon: the toolbar and individual question field. Below mentioned are Google icons meaning and usage:
- Add question
The first icon of the Google form is " add the question" on the right side of the menu bar. It is an is (+) plus sign, which allows users to add questions to their Google forms. So whenever you click this icon, a new question will be added to the form. The question can be typed in the space provided, and you can select the format for the answers
- Question type
The next icon is "question type" on the drop-down menu. The drop-down menu helps to select the answer format to the question. The most common are multi-choice, short answer and long answer.
A list of answers can be provided for the multi-choice questions, and a shorter one-line answer can be provided. For the longer answer, multiple lines answers can be given. This function makes a Google quiz easier and more fun.
- How to import questions into Google forms
This icon lets you get in or import questions to your Google form from other Google forms. It is even simpler if you have a pre-existing form to use as a template for the new form. This function is easy to use, as you have to click on the icon, choose the form to be imported, and the questions on the form will arise; now, you can select the questions you want to import in the new form.

- Add the title and description.
This is the "add title and description" icon, which allows you to add title and description to the question. While the title is displayed on the top of the question box, the description is below the title.
The title and description are helpful as they give the respondent a context and what is expected.
- Add Image
This icon allows you to add images to the Google form. The images will appear beside the questions. Images make the form visually appealing and help respondents understand the questions.
The image icon is a mountain sign inside a square on the menu bar'sbar's right side. If you want to add an image, just click the icon and choose the image you want. If you want to avoid using images from your pc, use the search function to find images.
- Add video
The "add video" function lets you add videos on the Google form. This can help respondents to know how to answer the questions or give instructions. If you require to add videos to Google form, click the icon and just insert the URL of the videos, and the videos will be added to the question.
- Add section
This section helps to "add sections" to the Google forms. This makes the questions more organized by putting them in sections. It is easy to add a new section to google forms; click the "add section" icon and now add the question to the section to the " add question" icon.
- Duplicate questions
This icon helps duplicate any questions you have already added to your Google form. This lets to ask a similar set of questions. This function is on each question box on the right-hand side. If you want to duplicate a question in your form, click the question which is to be duplicated.
- Delete questions
The "delete Question" icon lets you delete the question you don't want in your form. To delete a question, click the delete button, and the question will be deleted.
