Now comes word that construction is finally set to begin on a major new location in Ridgefield, Washington.

According to a July 5th report from Columbian.com, entitled “Ridgefield Costco Construction Work Set to Begin,” the new warehouse store will anchor an extensive new development that will include 13 commercial, food service, and retail buildings.
As excerpted from the report: When Costco announced last July it planned to open a new 160,000-square-foot warehouse store near Pioneer Street and Interstate 5 in Ridgefield, the news generated a lot of excitement. But little has changed at the building site since that announcement. According to Ridgefield officials, that’s about to change.
Posters on Twitter and Facebook praised the initial announcement, as they are doing with this latest update.
Said initial July, 2022 announcement, linked above, in part stated the following: The new Costco Wholesale, the third in Clark County, will generate $700,000 per year in local tax revenue and provide 300 to 400 jobs, according to a news release from the city of Ridgefield. Construction will start next year, according to the property’s co-developer Josh Oliva.
At the time, other retail tenants were not yet decided. Regarding the new location, construction is reportedly imminent.
