When it comes to pet care, the dollar signs can add up quick. Between spoiling your fury friend with all the treats and toys, the necessary evil of vet bills, and vaccines, some may find themselves having to choose which is more important to them, their wallet, and their pet. Those with pets who've had to skip on the vet visits to get by can get a free checkup, vaccines, and more from the Kalamazoo Humane Society soon — and with no appointment necessary.
"Join us on May 15 for a free pet vaccine clinic!" the Kalamazoo Humance Society writes, in part. "This is an excellent opportunity to give your furry friends some quality care!" The Facebook post announcing the event is accompanied by a flyer, filling in would-be vet visitors on what they can expect from this pawsome offering.
The Vaccine Clinic will provide more than just vaccines for free; pets in need of wellness exams, microchipping, heartworm tests, or nail trims will also be welcome. Low on food or struggling to acquire other pet supplies? They'll be giving those items away free of charge too.
Resources for this event are very limited, and are intended for those who do not have access to, or cannot currently afford vetinary care for their 4-legged friend. Services will be received on a first-come-first-served basis.
While the Humane Society says that your pet does not need to be registered, or booked by appointment, if they happen to be registered, they do request that you bring your papers along with you. You do not have to be from the Kalamazoo area to take advantage of the offering either.
The Free Pet Vaccine Clinic as hosted by the Kalamazoo Humane Society will pop up at Loaves & Fishes at 901 Portage Street on Monday, May 15 between 1 pm and 5 pm.
Those with questions about the event are encouraged to contact the Kalamazoo Humane Society by phone at (269)-345-1181 or on social media.
