Private equity firm Sitex Group has acquired a 10-acre industrial campus in Edison, New Jersey, with plans to demolish one office building and upgrade the two remaining warehouses. The vacant site is expected to attract modern distribution companies due to its convenient location with access to New York City, the ports and the population centres in the Northeast. In a separate acquisition, Sitex acquired a 5-acre site in Rutherford with a 20,000 sq ft vehicle maintenance building. Sitex will repurpose the building, creating 17,000 sq ft of maintenance space and 3,000 sq ft of office space. All of the recent acquisitions are in premier locations with easy access to New York City, Port Newark-Elizabeth, Newark Liberty International Airport and the US interstate system.
