It's the weekend, and if you're looking for something to do, this weekend features a home show, snowmobile radar runs, and a skiing and snowboarding event for veterans and Gold Star families, among other things. Enjoy the weekend!

Saturday, March 18

Auburn: Vets in the Valley Winter Session at Lost Valley, 200 Lost Valley Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All military veterans and Gold Star families regardless of the length of military service will receive free ski lift tickets. Immediate family dependents will also receive a free lift ticket. This offer is valid only on Saturday, March 18. Veterans and their families must show proof of eligibility. There will be free skiing and snowboarding from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a meet and greet with veterans service organizations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and live music from 1 to 4 p.m.

Auburn: The 2023 Maine Home Show will be held this weekend at the Norway Savings Bank Arena, 985 Turner Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be over 100 exhibits offering home-related products and services. You will be able to get design ideas for your projects and connect with local experts. Free parking with admission $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and up, and veterans, kids, and teenagers are admitted for free with a paying adult.

Bangor: The 2023 Bangor Boat Show will be held this weekend at the Cross Insurance Center, 515 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Boats, boats, and more boats! Admission is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 years old and younger. You can purchase tickets online here or in person at the box office.

Bethel: There will be a spaghetti supper fundraiser at the Bethel United Methodist Church on Main Street from 4 to 6 p.m. The church needs painting and a new roof on the parsonage. Come and enjoy a delicious meal and help raise money for the church.

Dover-Foxcroft: The 2nd annual snowmobile radar runs will be held at the Charles A. Chase Jr. Memorial Airport. Races start at 8 a.m., with registration open all day. 2 runs for $20.00 with admission by donation, and the donations will be going towards Wings for Wishes Maine, the Sedomocha school food pantry, and the Piscataquis Valley Snowmobile Club. There will be trophies for kids, cash prizes, vendors, food, and drink.

Dover-Foxcroft: The Heart of Maine Fiber Guild and the Maine Spinners' Registry are partnering to hold a gathering, which will be held at the Central Hall Commons, 152 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking is available in the back of the building or on the street. Please bring something for a potluck lunch.

Jonesboro: There will be an Irish stew supper and songfest held at the Chandler River Community Center, 24 Looks Point Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Jonesboro Union Church Auxiliary will host an Irish stew supper at 5 p.m. and a songfest at 6 p.m. Admission is by donation with all proceeds going to community outreach programs.

Trenton: There will be a craft fair and yard sale held at Trenton Grange Hall, Route 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be several crafters and small businesses that will be there, as well as people set up with yard sale items. We will also have some food for sale. Come on out and support your local friends, neighbors, and small businesses.
