The accident happened on Interstate 40 in Fayette County.
The collision involves only one vehicle. According to the police.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that multiple people got injured.

For several hours, police closed off the eastbound lanes of I-40 near milepost 34 because of the collision.
