The Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department escorts Santa on his annual run
Laytonsville is already getting into the Holiday Season with the tree lighting ceremony held Friday, December 2, at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall. While there, the Lions Club collected gently used coats to support their coat drive. The Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department escorted Santa to the event.
The Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department hosted a Breakfast with Santa event on Sunday, December 4, 2022, their first big event since 2019. The volunteers of Laytonsville thank all of their visitors. There were long lines, but lots of good cheer.
Santa's on his fire truck
In a recent meeting with the LDVFD, Santa shared his plans for visiting Laytonsville Neighborhoods.
Beginning around 5 pm on weekdays and around 4 pm on weekends, Santa will visit the following neighborhoods on the following dates:
12/6 - Sunshine / Griffith / Hipsley Mill
12/9 - Glendalough / Huntmaster / Goshen School
12/11 - East Village
12/13 – Warfield / Town of Laytonsville
12/16 - Hadley Farms / Fieldcrest
Santa shared with the members of the LDVFD that he had to make a few changes to the routine this year. There will be no candy canes, and they cannot make any special stops this year.
There may be nights when Santa cannot make it down the streets because of parked vehicles, emergency calls, or inclement weather. Check out the Laytonville District Volunteer Fire Department's webpage for any changes or updates.
Over the next couple of weeks, keep an ear out for the fire truck's sirens accompanied by Santa's jolly "Ho, Ho, Ho." Check out the truck’s holiday lights and come on out to wave to Santa as he rides through your neighborhood!
