South Carolina police say they have finally got their man after a frantic manhunt for a murder suspect.
Early Tuesday morning, officers shared photos of a man they said they wanted to speak to in connection with a body discovered in the woods behind the Times Turnaround Gas Station on June 27. The victim was last seen with the man police identified as David Lynn Amos, 52. Police say Amos is homeless.

Police said they believed Amos was still in the area but had made statements saying he might just walk to Florida. Several citizens commented on the sheriff's office post saying that they had indeed seen the man in the area including one who said no one called them back when they tried to report him. "We called to report to the Sheriff's office last night!!! Nobody called us back! He has been seen on Squirrel Lane! He was seen using our porta potty at our new build 6/20. And my husband saw a strange man walking again yesterday."

The tips must have come in handy. Police announced they'd caught up with Amos at the Love's Truck Stop off I-77 and taken him into custody.
