An Indiana special deputy was hospitalized after a crash on Wednesday. According to the CCSO, Special Deputy Kaitlynn Baker, who is also a Jail Corporal was driving a Sheriff's Office vehicle west on Farmers Gravel Road, approaching County Road 300W when another driver crashed into her.

According to a report, Twan Holman, 48, blew through a stop sign on County Road 300W. Special Deputy Baker crashed into Holman's vehicle and struck the rear passenger side. Holman was thrown from the vehicle.
Both Holman and Baker were alone in their vehicle. Ambulances transported both drivers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Indiana State Police is leading the investigation and it is ongoing pending toxicology reports.
