A beloved NW Ohio restaurant owned by former NFL Player Bruce Gradkowski is a total loss after a fire on Thursday afternoon.
The Social Gastropub caught fire just after 2 pm and it was minutes before the building was fully engulfed in flames.

The restaurant sits on busy State Route 25, and dozens of motorists shared videos and pictures of the flames. A plume of smoke rose high into the sky and was visible for miles around the area.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the fire, which apparently started outside of the busy restaurant. However, the building is destroyed and what remains must be torn down for safety's sake.
The restaurant was known for offering unique menu items and a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails.

Owner Bruce Gradkowski played for the UT Rockets in college and professionally for several NFL teams including the Bucs, Steelers, Bengals, and Rams. Besides owning the restaurant, he most recently coached a local high school football team, the St. Francis de Sales Knights and is also an assistant coach in the XFL.
