Prestonsburg, KY. – Kentucky State Police is conducting a death investigation after an unidentified body was located in the Prestonsburg area of Floyd County.
KSP received a call from Prestonsburg Police Department advising a deceased human body had been located.

KSP investigators responded to the area. The preliminary investigation revealed that emergency personnel located an unidentified body in the Levisa Fork River.

The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification. The cause of death is still under investigation.
