Johnson County Sheriff, Duane Burgess, says 11 men were arrested during a multi-county child sex sting operation.
Investigators created bogus profiles on websites that resembled 14-year-old girls. Adults would then discuss fantasies and acts of sexuality with these fake underage accounts.

“It turns your stomach,” commented Officer Burgess.
All throughout the three-day investigation, the adults were made aware that they were speaking to a 14-year-old. The ages ranged from 19 to 49.
Among the 11 suspects, four were from Indianapolis, while others were from Greentown, Bloomington, Unionville, and Greenwood. One man drove more than two hours to hook up.
One of the men brought a gun, while others brought sexual content, including sexual apparel and drugs.

All except for one, they were all charged with soliciting children for sex. No one arrested in this three-day sting was suspected of being part of a human trafficking ring.
Officer Burgess shared concerns “You have to work hard these days to protect your children from predators out there because they want to hurt your children, or they want to do some unthinkable things to your child,”
Johnson County has conducted three child sex sting operations in the past two years. As long as there is a threat, these operations will continue.
