More details on former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes' lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen

According to the reality television star, they intentionally segregated the Housewives over the duration of the franchise.

"For years, NBC and Bravo have run The Real Housewives as a segregated franchise where certain shows are treated as white shows and others as Black, with little if any overlap or mixing between the two," legal documents obtained by TheJasmineBRAND reads.

"The segregated nature of the franchise is reminiscent of the early days of "separate but equal" – that is, the shows are racially separated, purported to be equal, but in fact they are not. Some, but not all of the examples of the segregation within the franchise, are discussed below."

NeNe had made it known that she would be pursuing a lawsuit against Bravo following her exit from the show. She has consistently claimed the network discriminated against her and other Black Housewives.

On Tuesday, UK tabloid, The Sun revealed NeNe's new attorney is David deRubertis, who represented comedian Mo'Nique in her lawsuit against Netflix for unequal pay.

Speaking to TMZ earlier this week, NeNe Leakes says the network "blacklisted" and "silenced" her for speaking up against them.

She says while she wanted to file the network years ago, she "was constantly being retaliated against, being blacklisted, not able to work, being silenced, and so, you know, it was difficult to do."
