Did you know that starting your day with a walk in nature can be great for improving your mood?

One of the best decisions I’ve made recently was to go for a morning walk before doing anything else in the morning.

In fact, I’ve already noticed how much more refreshed and focused I am when I work, and that it just makes me feel great overall!

Did you know that your day starts when you wake up? Your morning habits affect the rest of your day. If you start your day off positively, it could help you have a better mood throughout the rest of your day, too.

I am so glad that I did because it helped me to realize some things about my schedule that could be changed, and also helped me with other things in my life.

Here are the experiences that have benefited me most from my new routine;

Waking up in the morning was a habit that stuck with me for a long time, but lately, it has slipped away.

There are so many things to be happy about in life, but my mood usually doesn’t reflect that.

It took me a long time to realize it, but a morning walk has done wonders for helping me wake up and feel good about life. And because of that, I started noticing little things like spring flowers in bloom or funny messages on store windows.

When I go for a morning walk, it clears my mind and puts me in a better mood.

I feel like myself again after going for a morning walk outside before beginning my morning routine.

When I walk outside with no shoes on, leaves crunching under my feet, birds singing away, and the smell of freshly cut grass filling my nose, it always seems to get me in a good mood for not only that day but also for following days.

It’s pretty how something as simple as going for a walk in nature can make you feel so much better than waking up in a dark room to an alarm clock.

There will be times when I don't have enough time to go outside or when there is too much rain (which doesn't happen very often in Southern California), but when I do, it will help me get started wonderfully.

Each time, I'm amazed by how such a simple thing can lead me into feeling so much better about myself and boost my confidence for whatever happens throughout my day.

Of course, these outcomes may vary from person to person depending on their interests and lifestyles, but it has helped me tremendously throughout each passing week.

One morning, as I was walking back from my walk (and feeling very pleased with myself), it occurred to me that a walk made a massive difference in my mood—and then it dawned on me: What if other people felt better after a walk? How could someone use walking for others to make our community and world a better place?

After a half-hour had passed, I turned around and went home.

I realized there is more beauty out there than what we perceive. Something as simple as going for a stroll can change your whole mindset and change how you interact with people, places, and things throughout your day.

The next day, I got up early to go for another walk before anyone else was awake.

Later that week, I decided to invite a few friends along with me one Friday morning.

We had no plans and wandered simply around our neighborhood until we found a quiet spot where we could sit and enjoy spending time while talking over coffee.

If everyone spent 15 minutes outside every day just taking in the fresh air, positive energy, and natural surroundings - imagine what kind of impact it would have on you!

My new rule is to grab my keys and go for a walk outside whenever something feels off or needs some perspective.

My mood and overall outlook on life have greatly improved since doing something as simple as taking a morning walk.

If nothing else, it's nice to be able to clear your mind instead of vegging out in front of the TV, which isn't very productive.

You don’t have to run every day to reap these benefits; just 15 minutes of fresh air and exercise helps immensely!

Go for a walk tomorrow and see how you feel afterward.

Before I wrote my piece, I didn't think much about how different my days would become.

Some people may prefer more physical and intense activities to go and get them energized, but don't let the preparation get in the way of your exercise.

Prioritizing exercise is vital, but I often find myself forced to do something I don't want to do.

Most of us will stay in bed half-asleep just watching reruns and wishing it weren't Monday. To sum up what I've learned -I've always known that being active physically benefits my mental state by reducing stress, relieving anxiety, and allowing for a clear head.

But instead of choosing an activity right away, I'm permitting myself to do nothing first thing in the morning -- even if it means sitting alone on a park bench looking at trees without any thoughts running through my head.

Being idle allows me to catch up with feelings like loneliness, stress, or guilt.

How to encourage a habit of going for a morning walk to get a better mood: Exercising outdoors helps me see my city in a way I never did before. Walking during sunlight is far more pleasant and efficient than when it’s dark.

This technique motivates me to continue looking for reasons to get up early.

Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed my blog post on how to start your day in a better mood! I am so happy I am going for walks outside.

It is a great way to start your morning because it will not only be great for your health, but it will also make you feel more confident and capable, which will improve your mood.

I know that everyone has the morning routine that they like, but you might find that your recent mornings have been difficult, and that's why I decided to try out a walk outside before starting my day.

Try it out before you start your day and see if it makes you feel happier and more optimistic.
