March fun at The Salty Dog
Don’t miss out on the fun this month at The Salty Dog. From 9-11 a.m. March 12 at The Salty Dog Café in South Beach, the Shamrockin’ Scavenger Hunt will be in full swing. Kids under 12 will search South Beach for shamrocks redeemable for tasty treats and Salty Dog gear while adults will enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day-themed breakfast served on the waterfront. Cooking demo: Wiener Schnitzel
Join executive chef Charles Pejeau from 2-3 p.m. March 20 at Alexander’s Restaurant for a special cooking demonstration. Learn how to make Alexander’s signature Wiener Schnitzel and the art of German-inspired cooking, have fun and give back to your local community. All the money collected will be given to the Palmetto Dunes Employee Assistance Program. All demonstrations include a glass of sparkling wine and a culinary gift to take home. The Juice Hive wins two entries at the Good Food Awards
The Juice Hive, the Bluffton-based healthy eatery, has once again been honored with two prestigious Good Food Awards. For the fifth consecutive year, The Juice Hive has been singled out by the Good Food Foundation for this honor; rising to the top of nearly 2,000 entries and honored for foods that “represent the highest standards of quality, sustainability and social responsibility.” The Juice Hive’s winning entries in the 2022 Good Foods Awards are Korean Pickled Elephant Garlic, (category: Pickles) and Watermelon Rind Chutney, (category: Pantry). In addition to these two winning entries, the Juice Hive’s popular Superfruit roll-up was named a finalist in the competitive Snacks category.
