Los Angeles County: The high wind warning predicted for the Southland continued on Saturday with power outages and downed trees.
On Saturday, Jan. 22, at around 5:28 p.m., Southern California Edison was seen checking and restoring power from the power poles that were damaged by trees due to high winds. Video footage from the first location is on 5020 Angeles Crest Highway in La Canada Flintridge. The rest of the footage (from time mark 01:36 to 03:20) is from Fair Oaks Avenue and Las Flores Drive in the city of Altadena at around 6:00 p.m.
Northbound traffic was blocked due to a large tree hanging onto power lines. California Highway Patrol was assisting Edison in closing down the intersection.
Residents in the area are without power until crews arrive to restore power. No time or number of how many calls they have responded to, said one crew member working at one of the locations.
