Los Angeles: A suspect entered another vehicle during a police pursuit in the Los Angeles area early Thursday morning that led police to San Pedro and back.
Los Angeles Police Department 77th division officers initiated a pursuit with a white Tahoe at Central Avenue and Florence Avenue in Los Angeles at around 3:01 a.m.
At approximately 3:05 a.m., the suspect exited the Tahoe and then entered a waiting silver pickup truck that was following the pursuit and had pulled up next to the suspect's vehicle.
LAPD continued to chase the vehicle all the way south down the 110 (Harbor Freeway) into San Pedro and then back heading northbound on the freeway into South Pasadena.
California Highway Patrol had taken over the pursuit when the pickup truck hit a dead end on the 100 block of Bridewell Street in Highland Park. Multiple suspects were seen taken into custody by CHP at the location.
