Restaurant Fire is Suspected Arson

Venice, Los Angeles: A restaurant's contents burned on Tuesday night, Jan.18, in Venice, a neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the reported fire at around 11:29 p.m. in a unit contained within a one-story strip mall on the 2800 block of South Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

LAFD reported that it took 34 firefighters 20 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

An arson investigation was requested because multiple sets within the structure were located by firefighters.
