On the morning of the 15th, a subway pusher case occurred in New York City. A 40-year-old Asian woman died after she was suddenly pushed off while waiting for a train at a subway station and hit an oncoming train. At present, the suspect has been detained, the homeless man in his 60s has been arrested several times.

"New York Daily News" and other media reported on the 15th that the New York police said that at about 9:30 a.m. on the 15th, the Asian woman was suddenly pushed off the platform by 61-year-old Simon Martial while waiting for the bus, and then hit the He died on the spot by the oncoming train. There is no indication that the pair had any conversation or interaction before the deadly attack. The suspect then fled, but eventually turned himself in and admitted to pushing a woman in front of the train.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner Wilcox pointed out that during the nine minutes the suspect was at the station, he also targeted another female passenger on the platform. However, the woman ran away from him, but seconds later, Martial attacked the second passenger. NYPD Commissioner Sewell called it an unprovoked attack and a "senseless act of violence."

The media pointed out that since 1998, Martial has been arrested 10 times. In 2018, he was briefly jailed for robbing a taxi before being released on parole. The police source added that the suspect had mental health issues and there was no indication that the murder was a hate crime. Marshall is currently charged with second-degree murder.
