During last week's episode of "Porsha's Family Matters," viewers were shocked to see Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley get into a physical altercation.
On Instagram, Porsha wrote a lengthy statement addressing her reaction.
"There is a lot that viewers didn't get to see tonight and I wish we had more cameras to capture that, which I understand is nobody's fault," she explained.
"I've learned in the past that physical violence is never okay, especially when a man is causing physical harm to women. That is something we are too desensitized to as a society." She says she first declined to speak on the incident "to protect Dennis, his business, and therefore [their] own daughter."
But Porsha says staying silent was the wrong thing to do.
"I take accountability for reacting strongly to what I was seeing and hearing. While I was not physical with Ms. Gina, I regret arguing with an elder. We're six months removed from this incident and I'm looking forward, not backwards."
Porsha caught heat for throwing hands at Dennis. Shortly after the images aired, Porsha's cousin, Storm, took to social media to accuse Dennis of sexually and physically abusing her.
"Dennis is pedophile . I was 18/19 back when I worked for him and sexual harassed me the enter time I worked in his establishments . I am a lesbian . We did not ever see each other outside of work & I have messages . Stop the nobody want his fat ass #PorshasFamilyMatters," Storm tweeted.
"Dennis physical assaulted me in Mexico . I've been silent long enough. This man has sexually harassed me & now A grown ass 40+ year old man physically assaulted me in Mexico . I'm sick of it! #PorshasFamilyMatters," she added.
