I found Hearts Compass last fall, when my husband and I visited the area of Monmouth and Independence, Oregon. I met Lauren and Jenn, the owners of this wonderful little store, which opened in August of last year, and I've been back several times since.

These two ladies have a collection of healing stones, crystals, books, jewelry, art, and more. However, the most impressive is their Quantam Resonance Crystal Bed. This crystal bed is one of only two in Oregon.

As much knowledge as I have with all things metaphysical, I'd never heard of a crystal bed, so of course I had to give it a try!

Let me tell you a few things this about this modality:

Using a crystal bed is a practice called chromotherapy; a method of treating ailments by using colors. The therapy is done by shining an appropriate color on the particular area of the body.

I am someone who relates deeply to colors, and when Hearts Compass offered a healing session with their Crystal Bed, I was excited for the opportunity.

The bed is a simple massage-like table that contains seven crystals suspended over the person lying down. This bed puts off a fine vibration which is comfortable. Jenn gives you a small pillow to rest your head, an eye cover, and headphones. I chose which type of music I wanted (rain and nature) from a list of healing sounds.

Once settled on the bed, Jenn adjusted the crystals over parts of my body to align with my chakras. Then she starts the machine.

For a good 45 minutes, I laid in a blissful state of meditation. It's helpful to focus on some aspect or question which directs energy. I didn't do this. I just laid there and enjoyed the music.

When completed, Jenn came back in and helped me off the bed. I was cautioned to take it slow and easy, because the healing session can make you feel a little-lightheaded. Jenn was patient with me as I regained myself to stand on my two feet again.

After the session, I felt lighter. The change was subtle, and I didn't think much more about it on my drive home.

However, I spent the next several days with a lighter body. It was as if a density was lifted away. I had more energy and felt...happier! I was told that the experience is different for each person.

Here is one customer's experience:

This Crystal Bed takes you on a journey from the depths of the cosmos to deepest part of your spirit and core. Not only the mind blowing waves of clarity but the visual experience is one of a kind and unlike anything set before. I cannot recommend this enough.

As a women-owned business, I want to celebrate Lauren and Jenn for their commitment to energy healing work, and having a welcoming place for all.
