Bow to play Monday in volleyball subdistrict

Broken Bow Goes 1-2 at SWC Volleyball Tournament
The Broken Bow volleyball team went 1-2 at the Southwest Conference volleyball tournament in Minden on Friday. The Lady Indians entered the tournament as the top seed. Broken Bow defeated Cozad in the opening by scores of 25-7, 25-11. The win against Cozad also marked the 200th career win for Broken Bow head volleyball coach Skylar Morris. Broken Bow would face Minden in the semifinals. Minden was strong on their home court winning the match in straight sets 25-17, 25-17. Broken Bow would then face Ogallala in the third place consolation match. Gothenburg defeated Ogallala in the semifinals 25-23, 25-20. Broken Bow took the lead early over Ogallala winning the first set 25-18 but Ogallala came back to tie the match winning 25-16 in the second. The third set was tight throughout but Ogallala would end up taking it by a score of 25-22. Broken Bow will play at the C1-10 sub district tournament on Monday. Broken Bow will play Gothenburg. The match will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. The C1-10 tournament will be hosted by Kearney Catholic High School. Read more
