A 20-year-old Florida male has been arrested and charged with the fatal shooting of his mother.
According to the Miami Herald, Loretta Bruno, 48, was dropped off by a close friend at a bus stop near her Florida City home early Tuesday morning.
Bruno was headed to work. Before the friend pulled off, they witnessed Andrew Eloissaint, her son, emerge from the bushes behind the bus stop. Elloissaint allegedly pulled out a gun and shot his mother. He also fired at her friend after he began screaming. The friend was forced to drive away. The bullets shattering his car window and flattening a tire.
Bruno, 48, died at the bus stop.
That morning, Eloissaint was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. According to police records, Eloissaint and Bruno often argued over inheritance money from Eloissaint's father.
The young man's father, Aurelio Eloissaint, died in 2011. He left Bruno the house in which she and Eloissaint lived and Eloissant and two siblings were to inherit the property upon his death.
"If you don't give me my money, you're going to see what's going to happen to you," he allegedly told his mother after she informed him that there was no money left.
He is being held without bond.
