New York is home to the world's 99 billionaires. According to Barron, the total wealth of New York City is $3 trillion.
Recently, I did research on all 99 billionaires in New York. Where do they live, how wealthy are they, and what businesses are associated with them, or what are their sources of income?I published that article on Newsbreak. You can read it here.
But out of curiosity, my mind was also questioning where these wealthy people hang out, where they live, and where they could be reached. This article is also kind of a research article, where I will be researching the wealthy neighborhoods and places in New York to find out where these rich people congregate.
The Union Club
This private club was founded by two co-founders, Dwight Eisenhower and Ulysses Grant, in 1836. The Union Club is the oldest private club in New York and the 5th oldest private club in the United States. It is located at 101 East 69th Street. This private club's annual membership fee is $5000. Which is a high cost for a private club. But we are talking about New York's Billionaires and Millionaires; for them, it's just okay.
The history of this club is very interesting and worth reading about. Most of the wealthiest people hang out in this club but keep in mind that most of the wealthiest people hang out there, but not all of them. Some other private clubs, like the Union League Club and the Knickerbocker Club, were created by some of the wealthiest members of the Union Club. The Metropolitan Club
On October 1, 1863, during the height of the civil war, six-person staff from the Treasury Department library were about to start a private social club. And a month later, on November 1, 1863, the team of six people expanded to 50 people. And that was the beginning of a new private club that we now know as The Metropolitan Club. J.P Morgan was the first president of the metropolitan private club.
The Metropolitan Club is one of a kind. It's so unique from an architectural point of view that most interior designers are die-hard fans of it. It's located at 1 East 60th Street, on the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue. Aside from its beauty, this club has some strict rules that every member and their guests must follow.
- Men must wear jackets and ties - "turtlenecks and ascots are not acceptable.
- Ladies should wear "dresses, skirts, dressy pantsuits, or business pantsuits.
- Jeans, shorts, stirrup pants, leggings, stretch pants, tight pants, sweats and T-shirts are absolutely not acceptable.
- Cell phones and laptops are prohibited in the Club except in private meeting rooms and bedrooms.

Soho House
This private club company is a little different from others. The main headquarters of Soho House is at 40 Greek Street, Soho, London. It's a worldwide company that operates private clubs, hotels, and venues around the globe. They are mostly focused on members of the media, arts, and fashion industries. Nick Jones is the founder of this group, and currently, Ron Burkleis is the leader and manager of this group.
Soho House's New York branch is located at 29-35 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10014, United States. People like Chid Liberty, Ego Nwodim, Michael Chernow, and Samah Dada are their members. Many wealthy media celebrities, company owners, and famous artists can be found in Soho House. Learn more on their Wikipedia page.
The Core Club
The Core Club New York City is owned by Jennie Enterprises. Roger Goodell, Anthony Scaramucci, and Wall Street billionaires are exclusive members of this private club. It's located at 66 East 55th Street, New York, NY 10022. If you want to hang out with Anthony Scaramucci or other wealthy New Yorkers, then you have to pay a $50,000 initiation charge, plus $17,000 annually to become an exclusive member of the core club. The Knickerbocker Club
The name Knickerbocker came about because of the writer Washington Irving's use of the pen name Diedrich Knickerbocker. But it's also known as the Knick. This private club was founded in 1871. The founders were members of the Union Club and they decided to start their own club where they could set the rules. It's one of the oldest private clubs in America and New York. The membership is very selective and it's one of the prestigious clubs in the world.

The Yale Club
This exclusive club was established 124 years ago, in 1897. It's located at 0 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, New York 10017. Its membership is restricted almost entirely to alumni and faculty of Yale University. I'm not sure that any wealthy entrepreneur or celebrity goes to this club to hang out with other rich people. But if you want to hang out with educationally wealthy or famous people, then you might find them here at the Yale Club. The Yale Club has 11,000 exclusive members worldwide. And the thing is, it's not very expensive.
The Colony Club
This club is a women-only private social club in New York City. The Colony Club was founded by Florence Jaffray Harriman in 1903. This was the first club in New York that was founded by a woman and is only for women. But now men are only allowed as guests, not members.
The Colony Club has more than 2,500 members and is located at 120 Madison Avenue Manhattan, New York City. For wealthy ladies, this was heaven. Find out more about The Colony Club on Wikipedia.
The Norwood Club
Norwood is a private club, but also offers exclusive weddings and event hosts. It was founded by Alan Linn and Steve Ruggi in 2007. The founder, Linn, describes the club as a "club for the curious."
The Norwood Club is located at 241 W. 14th St., New York, NY 10011. It costs around $800 for the joining fee plus $2,000 in annual dues. Many famous celebrities, influencers, YouTubers, and entrepreneurs hang out at this sweet spot. But the joining process is very selective. The club has 1,200 members and a wait-list for new members. The Harvard Club
The Harvard Club is similar to the Yale Club. It was first incorporated in 1887. But this club is only for students and people from the educational sector. If still, it's something you might have any interest in, then read their Wikipedia page for more information and the selection process.
The Harmonie Club
This club is the 2nd oldest private club in New York City. It was founded in 1852 by N. Gutman, M. Werner, H. Beer, Herman Cohn, Charles Werner, and Sigmund Werner. It is located at 4 East 60th Street in New York. Bradley R. Harris is the current president of the club.
The Club is offering a four-month guest membership for $1000. The full membership of this club costs $1500 to $6000 depending on your age and business. Some of the richest residents of New York also hang out in this private club.
