(Extremely Clogged Intake) RSH-10B Thunderbeam | 1 1/2 Minute Alert | Kingfisher, Oklahoma | 10/9/21

(Extremely Clogged Intake) RSH-10B Thunderbeam | 1 1/2 Minute Alert | Kingfisher, Oklahoma | 10/9/21

10/9/21 At 12:00:25 the city of Kingfisher conducted a weekly test of their Outdoor Warning Sirens on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, the test consisted of a 1 minute and 20 second Alert. Twice in a row now that I uncover a one of a kind siren. The T-128 in Enid, and now this Thunderbeam, both within a week. So I had originally thought that this Thunderbeam was reverse wired but after a lot of arguing with a group of people, I now know that Thunderbeams can’t be reverse wired so this one obviously isn’t reverse wired. It as very clogged intake, I assume with a giant bird nest or something like that. It also has pretty bad brushes, you can hear the clanking and rattling from them throughout then entire test, especially toward the middle-end of the wind down. I was also told by the Fire Department that this Thunderbeam is their most reliable siren so that why I went to it in the first place, I was expecting it to be normal but it was far from normal. I’m going back there on the 16th to record a hopefully regular sounding RSH-10B. This one was very quiet too, the Thunderbolt about 2/3 of a mile away got about as loud as the Thunderbeam from 230ft. I did plug my ears because it was was so high pitched and ear piercing. I also posted an ambiance video from this day, my parents took my audio recorder and put it between 2 Thunderbeams, and a 2T22. This Thunderbeam was one of them so you can obviously hear it in that video. The 2T22 is either broken or it just failed the test because you can’t hear it in that video, and my audio recorder was like 5 blocks from it so you would’ve heard it. Watch that video here: https://youtu.be/FGLt8ewcgKM I apologize for the bad quality and for the shaking, the wind was blowing pretty good and blew my camera over so it’s not working correctly now, so I had to use a phone for the main shot. Testing Time: Every Saturday at noon, weather permitting Location: Kingfisher County Fairgrounds Distance: About 230ft Check out my other Siren Recordings: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkskAbDZXQkKew-3o2P6j9aZBQH_CS08_ Read more
