North Central (West Virginia) Walk to End Alzheimer's attracts crowd to downtown Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — More than 21 teams walked a portion of West Main Street in downtown Clarksburg on Sunday united in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Committee Co-Chair Bill O’Field said the North Central Walk to End Alzheimer’s was moved from inside Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport to outdoors in downtown Clarksburg due to the COVID-19 pandemic and recent surge of cases in Harrison County. That also led to organizers encouraging the use of face coverings and hand sanitizer stations, along with physical distancing whenever safety allowed. Read more
