The survey looked at prices across the greater Oakland area, and found that the cheapest gallon of diesel as of Tuesday was $4.09, at Mobil at 950 University Ave. By comparison, the most expensive was $4.99, listed at Valero at 1894 University Ave.
Region-wide, the average price of diesel was $4.57, according to the survey, which was conducted by internet gas price app GasBuddy.
