The Smoky Mountains’ Fall Foliage Prediction has good news for local lovers of the great outdoors. Alyssa Adams covered the report’s timing of 2021’s autumnal beauty for CBS3 Philly.
The Smoky Mountains’ 2021 Fall Foliage Prediction Map says that the leaves in the Montgomery County area of Pennsylvania will be at their prime in the October 18-25 timeframe.
Those days will see landscapes awash in vivid yellow, orange, and red hues.
Landscapes should be prime for car rides, bike treks, and just plain walks to enjoy them.
Or capture them in photos and videos. IF there was ever a season that’s Insta-worthy, it will be here before you know it.
“While no tool can be 100 percent accurate, this tool is meant to help travelers better time their trips to have the best opportunity of catching peak color each year,” said a representative from Smoky Mountains National Park.
Luckily for residents, there are plenty of spots in the region where they can get some spectacular views of fall foliage:
- Valley Forge National Historical Park
- Ridley Creek State Park
- New Hope and Ivyland Railroad
- Kennett Square’s Longwood Gardens
- John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge
