Entrepreneurship isn’t reserved for the older businessman or woman. There are many businesses in the Philadelphia region started by the younger crowd that have a vision and a plan.

Some of these young entrepreneurs started their companies out of college dorm rooms, raising funds to launch and expand their business, writes Kennedy Rose for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Philadelphia Business Journal highlighted 19 Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs under 25 years of age in its PHL Inno feature.

The group is a mix of recent graduates, current college students, and those who left school to pursue startups full time.

One of them is connected to Delaware County.

Christopher Gaeta, 21, is an associate with the New York-based venture capital firm VU Venture Partners.

He’s also an undergraduate economics student at Swarthmore College — working concurrently toward a master’s degree in neuroscience and medical ethics at the University of Pennsylvania.

He was hired by VU Venture Partners at age 20. Gaeta focuses on investing in health care companies.

He was named to Business Insider’s list of “Gen Z VCs” for co-leading Series A financing for the startup  X-Therma, which uses cryopreservation techniques for removed organs.
