Clee clee, you’re misinformed. Restaurant owners take all the risk. They put their houses and life savings on the line in an industry where 4 of 5 fail within 3 years, leaving them broke. Most owners actually make less than their employees and lay awake at night trying to figure how to make payroll and pay the rent, loans, insurance, suppliers and taxes. They work the tables but aren’t allowed to keep any tips they earn and risk law suits and regulators fining them for silly rules. If you think it’s so easy, open your own place and pay your staff $20/hr. You’ll soon be bankrupt and bill collectors will be hounding you for years.
