At approximately 1:50 p.m. today, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies were in the area of Opossumtown Pike and Thomas Johnson Drive when they observed, Sean T. Imes, age 18, of Frederick, wanted for multiple warrants. Upon approaching Imes, deputies attempted to place him under arrest and he fled the scene, which resulted in a foot chase. With the assistance of FCSO K-9 and Frederick City Police (FPD), it was determined he had barricaded himself inside a home in the 200 block of Deervalley Drive.

Detectives authored a search and seizure warrant for the residence, which the FCSO SWAT team and Frederick City Police executed. SWAT gave multiple commands for Imes to give himself up, but he did not comply. SWAT deployed into the residence and using technology and SWAT procedures, members successfully located Imes inside the residence and placed him into custody.

Schools in the immediate area did “lock down” for a temporary period but through coordination with the FCSO School Resource Officers, they opened up quickly.

Imes warrants in Frederick County include charges for conspiracy to commit an armed robbery, second-degree assault, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and now fleeing from police. Additionally, he has several warrants in Frederick City.
