(THE BRONX, N.Y.) The New York City Police Department is seeking a driver who struck seven vehicles and hurt 14 people in the Bronx on Wednesday, according to ABC 7 NY.

The suspect was behind the wheel of a bright green Mercedes-Benz just after 5 p.m. on East Fordham Road and Marion Avenue.

Responding officers from the 46th Precinct looked to stop the driver due to him smoking marijuana and having overly dark windows.

At the sight of police trying to pull him over, the driver tried to escape from the scene, per authorities.

Bystanders recorded the incident and shared footage of the Mercedes-Benz hitting multiple cars before going on the sidewalk.

During his escape, 14 people suffered minor injuries as a result.

Police later found the vehicle, unoccupied, on Hughes Avenue.

Officials have made no arrests and the investigation remains active.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org or by messaging on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls are kept confidential.
