Bronx man gunned down in Fordham Heights, shooter at large

(THE BRONX, N.Y.) Local detectives are in search of a gunman who shot and killed a 32-year-old man outside a Bronx apartment building on Tuesday, according to AM New York.

Ronnell Garmie, 32, from East 184th Street was fatally shot outside 2335 Tiebout Ave. in the Fordham Heights section of the borough around 8:13 p.m.

Responding police officers from the 46th Precinct located Garmie unconscious at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Emergency medical services transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials have not announced what led to the shooting, nor have they released a description of the shooter.

Police have made no arrests and the investigation remains active.
