On Monday afternoon, a motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash on Beach Boulevard and Sheffield Drive.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place at about 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Sheffield Drive. The initial investigation revealed that a car and motorcycle were involved in the collision. The debris from the crash hit a nearby pedestrian.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel actively responded to the scene, rendered first aid and then rushed the bike rider to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. On the other hand, the pedestrian and the driver of the car did not receive any injuries following the crash.
The officials will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying next of kin. Authorities shut down Lambert Road during the investigation. No further details were released by the officials.
The crash is under active investigation.
