91-year-old man found dead in the Bronx, NYPD seeking suspect in faux Con Edison uniform

(THE BRONX, N.Y.) The New York City Police Department revealed a 91-year-old man was found dead in a Bronx storage shed on Tuesday, according to ABC 7 NY.

Police responded to a call from the home at 2400 Wickham Ave. in the Pelham Gardens section of the borough after receiving reports regarding a robbery involving a man allegedly dressed as a Con Edison employee.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they went to the back of the home and discovered the body of the 91-year-old. His hands were tied and had bruises covering his face along with lacerations to his arm.

The NYPD called for an autopsy, and the cause of his death is under investigation.

The identity of the man has not been shared with the public.

The suspect in the robbery was described as a 5'10" male who was last seen driving a white Ford pickup truck, according to the Citizen app.
