(THE BRONX, N.Y.) The New York City Police Department is in search of a man who raped a 70-year-old woman in the Bronx last Tuesday, according to ABC 7 NY.

The incident took place around 2 a.m. in the Belmont section of the borough.

The victim was going into her apartment building when the suspected male neared her from behind. He was sporting two plastic masks, one black and one red.

After entering the building, the man pulled out a gun and forced the woman into the stairwell where he sexually assaulted and raped her.

Shortly after, the man bolted from the scene.
