Georgia Murder Mystery: Woman and Dog Killed- Suspect Still At Large

Georgia State News by Ken Fulton, Southeastern Bureau Chief

Georgia law enforcement continues to investigate a woman’s murder in one of Atlanta's most popular parks. Katherine Jenness, 40, was found fatally stabbed multiple times in Piedmont Park.

Jenness had been walking her dog in the park when she was attacked. Police have released a photo of Janness crossing a rainbow-colored crosswalk in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood, not far from Piedmont Park.

Georgia investigators have not released any information on possible suspects. At present, they are attempting to retrace Janness’ steps. They are offering a $10,000 reward for information related to the crime.

As the investigation presses on, mourners have left flowers and dog treats near Piedmont park in remembrance of Jenness.

As of this publishing, the killer remains at large.
