(DETROIT) With the No. 1 pick in last night's NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons selected Cade Cunningham with the 1st overall pick, Fox 2 Detroit reports.
Earlier in the day, the Pistons announced their intentions to draft Cunningham if they didn't end up trading the pick.
Cunningham had been the consensus favorite to be the first pick in the draft, and averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game last season at Oklahoma State.
Last month, the Pistons won the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft lottery after compiling a second straight 20-win season, and they haven’t finished better than .500 for five straight years.
