During an argument about loud music, a man in Florida has been beaten by his neighbors and placed in a medically induced coma.
Frank Penkava, 42, of Hollywood was hospitalized following an incident in which his family says he was rendered unrecognizable and suffered multiple facial fractures.
According to reports, Penkava was beaten by his neighbors after he asked them to lower their music.
Over a month after the incident, Penkava is still unstable, and doctors must wait until he is stable before performing surgery for one of his injuries not mentioned in the report. A potential brain injury is also being monitored by doctors.
Her sister, Gina Horvath, says that Penkava contracted an infection while in the hospital.
It is unclear if authorities have opened a criminal investigation. No arrests have been made.
