On Wednesday morning, four people injured, one child critical, in a head-on collision involving multiple vehicles in Baker.
Baker Police Department stated that a woman was driving a vehicle heading northbound in the southbound lane of traffic on highway 19. The woman initially hit one vehicle and then crashed head-on into a second vehicle. Reports revealed that a child was ejected from the vehicle that was moving the wrong way.
The incident occurred on Highway 19 and the officials were called to the scene at about 10:50 a.m. On arrival, emergency crews transported four people to a hospital including one child in critical condition. The crash involved three vehicles, including one truck and two cars, authorities confirmed.
BRFD mentioned that the two people in the truck were ejected from their vehicle; including a driver and a child. AirMed was requested to take the child from the accident scene. The Baker Police Department, EMS and EBRSO helped the Baker Fire Department at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
