On late Tuesday night, one person was killed and another was flown to a hospital after the off-road vehicle they were in flipped over in the Alpine area.
At about 11:30 p.m., authorities were dispatched to a trail near the Loveland Reservoir after receiving reports of a rollover crash involving an off-road vehicle occupying four people. An emergency crew was en route when their off-road vehicle also overturned. The crew managed to arrive at the initial crash scene. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time.
As per the reports, one person in the first crash succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while a second passenger was airlifted to a nearby hospital. A firefighter aiding in the rescue effort also suffered injuries and was hospitalized. The crash did not cause any other injuries. The identities of the victims remain undisclosed at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
