(CLEVELAND) Cleveland police arrested a woman Wednesday night after video surfaced of her attacking the owners of a beauty store on Friday when her card was declined.

According to FOX8, the incident occurred during the afternoon at Chich Plus Beauty Supply near Cleveland's Cudell neighborhood. News 5 Cleveland reported last week that she became angry after attempting to spend $11.85 on a pre-paid gift card.

“All I am trying to do is get my items,” the woman, whose name has not been released, can be heard saying in the video to the two store owners behind the counter. "I’m not being belligerent."

David Jo, the son of the beauty store's owners, told News 5 that the woman did become upset after her card was declined, turning violent after his mother threatened to call the police on her.

Surveillance footage shows the woman knocking down Jo's father before jumping behind the counter and dragging his mother out into the store by her hair.

“I just saw my mom today since it happened and she’s all bruised up, her hair’s been pulled out, she has bruises all over her body … My dad’s mouth was all bloodied up,” Jo told WBTW News.

The Latin Times reports that the woman may be charged with a hate crime since the owners of the store are Korean and she is Black. Prosecutors may also attempt to indict her for multiple counts of felonious assault and vandalism.
