Louisiana police say a dad was killed after his daughter's teen boyfriend shot him during an argument.
His daughter's 14-year-old boyfriend climbed a ladder into his home, Dezmon Hamilton,34, confronted him. Gunfire erupted between the father and the 17-year-old.
Both the dad and teen were armed. It's unclear as to who shot first.
Both ended up being shot. Mr. Hamilton died and the teen was hospitalized but survived.
Zachary police arrested the teen for second-degree murder, illegal weapon use, and possession of a stolen weapon.
Local authorities report that the teenagers had seen each other "covertly" before; the father had tried to prevent it in the past.
