A serious crash involving two vehicles was reported which led to the shutdown of a freeway, Arizona Department of Transportation said on July 27.
According to the initial information, a motorcycle and an SUV were involved in the accident. It is unknown how many people received injuries as a result of the crash and what is the severity of those injuries. The events that have led up to the collision remain unknown at this time.
The westbound Loop 202 Santan freeway at Williams Field Road in Gilbert was opened again just after 10 a.m. after being blocked for two hours. Authorities have not provided any additional details regarding the wreck.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
